The base version brings four RS485 ports for pure industrial serial work, while the alternate configuration splits that into two RS485 plus two RS232, covering both modern fieldbus devices and older RS232-only equipment on the same board. Either version adds a 1Mbps CAN interface, two digital inputs, two digital outputs, and two analog inputs (with 4-20mA current loop support available by desoldering a jumper), giving you a genuine mix of I/O for monitoring and control tasks without a separate DAQ module. Networking runs over a single Gigabit Ethernet port, and an M.2 B KEY socket accepts a 4G or 5G communication module (sold separately) for sites without wired connectivity. Storage expands through an M.2 M KEY slot supporting NVMe drives up to 2280 in size, which boots and runs noticeably faster than a microSD card. A built-in supercapacitor with power-loss protection keeps the system safe during sudden power interruptions, an onboard EEPROM and encryption chip add hardware-level configuration security, and the unit supports both rail-mount and VESA mounting, so it fits panel installs and wall-mounted deployments alike.
