Industrial Wireless Expansion Board

Built for IoT gateway, wireless router, and remote data acquisition duty, this expansion board wraps cellular, LoRa, and wired networking into one carrier for a compute module core. An onboard M.2 B KEY slot accepts 4G or 5G communication modules directly, and the included Mini-PCIe adapter opens the same slot to LoRa modules, so the board can pivot from cellular gateway to LoRa gateway depending on what a deployment needs, without swapping hardware. Serial connectivity leans industrial-grade throughout. Dual isolated RS485 ports come with lightning, surge, and ESD protection built in, and an isolated CAN interface adds the same protection for controller-area network work, both with selectable 120-ohm terminal resistors for clean bus termination. Six GPIO pins connect directly to the compute core for custom control logic, and a Gigabit Ethernet port handles wired networking whenever it's available. Storage runs through an M.2 M KEY slot supporting 2230 and 2242 NVMe drives or AI acceleration modules, and dual MIPI interfaces support CSI cameras or DSI displays for applications that need local vision or a small onboard screen. The board is built with reserved space for a heatsink or cooling fan depending on thermal load, and it ships with rail-mount support for straightforward cabinet installation, a natural fit for IoT gateways, industrial PLC bridges, and monitoring stations running in the field.
